At the beginning of the COVID-19 Pandemic I found myself trapped in my home and lacking a daily creative routine. On a whim, I decided to start creating digital collages. I've always loved Photoshop and wanted to dive deeper into its secrets. Each day, I chose a specific color and downloaded images with items, people, and patterns of that color. Then I manipulated and collaged them together in Photoshop to create one image. What began as a simple, creative task to occupy my time and broaden my photoshop skills turned into a challenge of creating a dynamic image out of elements that were all the same color. I think that sometimes we, as architects, can be afraid of using color and I think that's a shame. This world is dark and grey enough without us avoiding vibrant designs. This collage series is a constant reminder to never be afraid to bring some color into my designs. Note: All collaged elements were taken from Pinterest. I do not take credit for the elements themselves, just the manipulation and integration of them into the collage.
